Our History

In 2001, April Thomas founded Newberry Contracting, Inc. achieving her goal to be the founder and sole owner of a woman owned specialty contracting business. For 25 years, April and her team have built a reputation of exceptional service, trust, quality and safety; while building relationships with some of the largest utilities, energy, and industrial companies in the southeast. After years of successful partnering on several mission critical projects, CapPro, Inc acquired Newberry Contracting in June of 2026.

Overview

Our capabilities extend across turn-key project delivery, providing complete civil, mechanical, electrical, and piping solutions that support a wide range of industrial markets including aerospace and launch infrastructure, power generation, chemical processing, fertilizer, mining, utilities, and general industrial facilities. From foundations and structural concrete to equipment setting, process piping, electrical installation/maintenance, and system tie-ins, we deliver integrated solutions that streamline coordination and reduce project risk.
